Back-To-School Lunch Tips

Back-To-School Lunch Tips

BAY CITY, Mich. - Parents, the day you've been waiting for has finally arrived: IT'S BACK TO SCHOOL TIME!  The long days of summer are coming to an end, making way for busy schedules and an increased need to streamline the day-to-day activities, especially in the morning.

Preparing lunches for your kids in the morning can definitely be a chore, but these simple back-to-school lunch tips can help take the challenge out of your midday meals.

  • Prepare in advance! Peel and cut fruit and veggies Sunday night for easy access during the rush of weekday mornings. Mix up the ingredients for a tossed salad or chicken salad sandwich and set up lunch containers so you can just drop items into them in the morning.
  • A fun way to switch things up? Make kabobs! Fruit kabobs, meat and cheese kabobs and even chocolate kabobs are all ways you can turn lunch into an even more fun activity!
  • Make lunches a little more fun by packing a cheerful note! Also, consider cutting a sandwich with a fun cookie cutter or using fun-shaped pasta in pasta salad and soups.
  • If possible, plan lunches when you plan your dinner menu. Consider making extra servings at dinner so you have leftovers for lunch (this works for the adults as well!).
  • Invest in a great thermos! Just as a thermos keeps food warm, it can also keep it cool. Fill a thermos with juice, milk, pudding, potato or pasta salad—honestly the possibilities are endless.
  • Use a variety of breads, such as pitas, whole wheat rolls, bagels, croissants or pumpernickel bread.
See? These simple, back-to-school lunch tips will help your mornings run a lot smoother! Do you have any back-to-school lunch tips that you think would help? Chevrolet Recently Released the Pricing Options for the 2016 Camaro

Chevrolet Recently Released the Pricing Options for the 2016 Camaro

BAY CITY, Mich. - Chevrolet recently released the pricing options for the 2016 Camaro, and we have to say that it will definitely compete for the top-car in the muscle car segment! The automaker announced some pretty impressive developments to the redesigned Camaro lineup that will make the ever-going competition between the Mustang and the Camaro pretty interesting.

Unlike the former Camaro models which featured three trim levels — the L, LT, and SS — the new Camaro has a more simplified and streamlined lineup of just the LT and SS models, despite having a third engine option available: a turbocharged inline-four.

The new Camaro will start at $26,695 for the base model 1LT coupe, which is a $3,000 price hike from the 2015 model with a $995 destination charge included. At the opposite end of the spectrum sits the SS which starts at $37,295, or a $1,000 premium over the Mustang GT fastback. For cashing out all that dough, however, you do get some exciting features, including a revised front fascia, bigger brakes, limited slip differential, and a 455 horsepower 6.2L V8 engine. No word yet on the pricing of the 2016 version ZL1, which will be unveiled next winter at the Detroit Auto Show, but the current model is priced out at $55,000.

Since Chevrolet recently released the pricing options for the 2016 Camaro, many auto-insiders believe it will not take long for the Camaro's numbers to reach and overtake those of the Ford Mustang. It may take a few months to be able to tell the new Camaro from the old one, but the improvements are many, and they add up to a car that’s fundamentally better than the outgoing model. And regardless of the slight price gap between the two, the combination of power and value in the 2016 Camaro may well win uncommitted muscle car shoppers away from the mighty Mustang.

If you would like more information on how you can get your hands on the 2016 next-generation Camaro, feel free to stop by your Bridgeport area used car dealer today! Hank Graff Chevy is located at 3636 Wilder Road, Bay City, MI 48706 and we can help you find the perfect vehicle for your weekend getaway! Engineers in England Will Begin Testing Roads That Charge Your Vehicle While You Drive On Them

Engineers in England Will Begin Testing Roads That Charge Your Vehicle While You Drive On Them

BAY CITY, Mich. - Electric and hybrid car enthusiasts, listen up: engineers in England will begin testing roads that charge your vehicle while you drive on them! Recently an engineering firm in England stated that it was embarking on an 18-month trial testing roads that charge electric vehicles while they drive on them.

Chevy Volt drivers should definitely perk their ears up, because this could change the electric car game forever! Let's explain how it works... The charging lanes work by creating electromagnetic fields generated by electric cables buried beneath the road. A coil inside the bottom of a car picks up the field and converts it into electricity. The potential to recharge low emission vehicles on the move offers exciting possibilities. The government is already committing £500 million ($569 million) over the next five years.

Usually electric vehicles can only charge while they're in park and the power turned off which is way it's so exciting that engineers in England will begin testing roads that charge your vehicle while you drive on them. Now this technology is far off from being tested by the public, let alone being integrated into the American road system. However, it is refreshing to know that pushes are being made to make driving an electric vehicle easier, therefore more appealing, to the everyday driver.

If an electric vehicle has been on your mind lately, stop by and check out the award-winning Chevrolet Volt! Hank Graff Chevy is located at 3636 Wilder Road, Bay City, MI 48706 and we can help you find the perfect vehicle for your weekend getaway! Chevy Has Previewed a Fancy New Key Fob for the 2016 Camaro

Chevy Has Previewed a Fancy New Key Fob for the 2016 Camaro

BAY CITY, Mich. - Chevrolet has been very fair with the amount of information given to the public regarding the all-new 2016 Chevy Camaro. However there is still plenty of information regarding the new muscle car that the auto-world still has yet to learn. Earlier this week, Chevy released just a few details about some accessories the automaker plans to offer for the new muscle car, but Chevy has previewed a fancy new key fob for the 2016 Camaro.

The fob pictured features the usual smattering of buttons like lock, unlock, and an alarm, yet it also includes controls for automatic trunk release and crucially, for convertible models, a button to automatically stow the top. Another thing we do know is that the key fob featured in the photo above, does belong to a 2016 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible, however we aren’t privy to any other details like the model or trim of the Camaro it’s attached to.

Sure, a key fob won’t make or break a sale, but an original key (at least in the way it looks) is a constant reminder to drivers that they are behind the wheel of something special. That is of course, if the amount of horses underneath the hood doesn't already say that.

No matter what type of news the auto-world gets about the all-new Camaro, it will be exciting news! Chevy has previewed a fancy new key fob for the 2016 Camaro and when the new muscle car arrives to dealers this fall, feel free to stop by and take one for a test-drive! At your St. Charles Area Used Car Dealer, we have tons of Used Chevy Models AND New Chevy Models just waiting for you on our lot! Stop by and take one out for a test drive today!

2016 Camaro Will Make An Appearance At This Year's Woodward Dream Cruise

BAY CITY, Mich. - It's the most wonderful time of the year for automotive enthusiasts, and no we're not talking about the holiday season. It's Woodward Dream Cruise time! Chevrolet will be dominating Woodward this year during the world's largest, single-day enthusiast event and the 2016 Camaro will make an appearance at this year's Woodward Dream Cruise! The Dream Cruise is expected to draw more than 1 million car enthusiasts to the 4,000 vehicles expected to line the Woodward corridor this weekend.

For the past four years Chevy has sponsored this event, and this year the automaker plans to have several dedicated displays and events during the festivities. The Camaro will definitely be the main attraction, and Chevy will be opening the Chevrolet Performance booth beginning today (August 13th) and will run the booth over the course of the entire weekend. The booth will also showcase vehicles fresh from the 2015 Hot Rod Power Tour.

The 2016 Camaro will make an appearance at this year's Woodward Dream Cruise and will certainly be the pièce de résistance of this year's festivities. Chevy will showcase the entire lineup of the all-new, 6th generation Camaro including the coupe model AND the convertible model.
